Nationally recognized sideshow entertainers Captain & Maybelle and Reggie Bugmuncher appeared throughout the weekend, drawing large crowds with their signature shock-performance artistry. The Buddy Mott Tattoo History Exhibition provided attendees with historical context and a rare look at American tattoo heritage, while the Tattoo Confessional Booth–sponsored by Tattoos Saved My Life–gave visitors a private space to share personal stories behind their tattoos.
The event also featured more than 40 tattoo competition categories across three days, including body placement awards, style categories, size awards, Tattoo of the Day winners, collaborative awards, and the prestigious Best in Show title.
The Flower City Tattoo Convention generated significant cultural and economic impact for Downtown Rochester, contributing to increased hotel occupancy, restaurant activity, and weekend tourism throughout the East End and Inner Loop districts.
Due to the overwhelming response, the Flower City Tattoo Convention will return to the Floreano Convention Center for a special Summer Edition on July 24-26, 2026. The upcoming event will feature an expanded artist lineup, new entertainment programming, and additional specialty features. Booth registration will open soon.
