New members bring expertise in entertainment and investment management to deepen the Council’s reach across global business, media, and diplomacy

Together, they bring exceptional experience in international media, entertainment, and finance that will strengthen the organization’s mission to foster global understanding and civil discourse.

The newly elected board members are Rick Ambros, executive producer and international media executive; and Taylor Beaupain, Managing Partner at K1 Investment Management.

Rick Ambros is an executive producer, consultant, and former studio executive specializing in international and local-language film, television, and digital production across Asia, Europe, and North America. Over the course of his career, he has worked with Fox, Sony, Universal, Warner Bros., Paramount, MGM, Disney, and many other studios. He brings particular depth in the rapidly growing media and entertainment markets of India, Southeast Asia, and China, having established Fox Television Studios India and consulted on local-language productions across the region. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Perfect Storm Entertainment, a joint venture between director Justin Lin and Chinese media company Seven Stars, and advised German investors who provided $1.5 billion in film and television production financing for properties including The Hangover, Sherlock Holmes, and Mission: Impossible 3. A Member and Juror of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Ambros holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Taylor Beaupain is Managing Partner at K1 Investment Management, where he oversees legal execution and financing of investments and serves as an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies. Previously, he was a partner in the growth equity practice at Kayne Anderson, managing growth equity and buyout investments. Beaupain began his career in the financial sponsors investment banking group of Merrill Lynch, advising global private equity firms on mergers, acquisitions, and financings. He holds an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University. He serves on the board of the UCLA Anderson Fink Center for Finance and the Board of Advisors for the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
