(Isstories Editorial):- Agawam, Massachusetts Mar 28, 2024 (Issuewire.com) – An Active-Duty soldier, Aaron Bushnell has committed a remarkable yet disturbing act of setting himself on fire in protest and request for peace in Palestine. This young man has witnessed the contrast between ideal and reality and could not take it anymore until he decided to put an end to it by sacrificing his own life. At 13:00 on February 25, he walked to the Israeli Embassy in Northwest Washington and set himself on fire with an unbridled hope for bringing peace to humans.
Aaron Bushnell grew up in a secluded Christian community in Orleans, Massachusetts and soon he joined the U.S. Air Force in May 2020 with a greater for his country. However, the naked reality of the U.S. government where he had to follow orders against humanity, tore him apart from the inside. The young soldier was wearing his military suit and yelled, ‘Free Palestine’ before committing the act.
This incident of self-immolation marks the violence of war, the current situation of the Israel-Hamas war where thousands of innocent are killed. The US Government showed its active support for Israel and Aaron is one of those millions of soldiers who have to obey orders, going beyond humanity that their hearts.
