Founded by a dedicated group of young leaders in response to the outcomes of the IGF 2023 Open Forum and co-organised by the EU Delegation to the IGF and the Youth IGF, the Youth IGF EU seeks to elevate awareness of internet governance issues among the young generation in EU countries while nurturing the development of the next generation of digital leaders within the EU.
The Youth IGF EU also aims to bolster existing European platforms on Internet governance by amplifying youth participation in major pan-European events such as the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG). By doing so, it seeks to facilitate the integration of the youth vision into EU digital policy proposals and generate active engagement in digital policy dialogue at both EU and global levels.
