The transaction strengthens HBA’s position in renewable energy development and confirms the company’s role among the leading players committed to achieving Italy’s decarbonization and energy independence goals.
(Isstories Editorial):- Milan, Italy Apr 14, 2026 (Issuewire.com) – HBA, Healthy Business Advisory S.r.l., a company active nationwide in the development, design, permitting and management of energy transition plants, announces the transfer of the authorization for the construction of a biomethane plant located in Puglia, in the municipality of Serracapriola, to the Tages Helios Net Zero fund.

The transaction is part of HBA’s broader growth and consolidation path as a “territory-based developer”, capable of fostering local consensus and managing significant segments of the biomethane production value chain in the areas where the plants are located.
The project is expected to produce approximately 4,25 million cubic metres of biomethane per year, covering an estimated overall demand of around 1,35 million Smc/year for 1.800 households and 3,25 million Smc/year for 496 local businesses.
From an environmental perspective, the plant will enable savings of approximately 8.000 tonnes of CO2 per year, equivalent to the emissions generated by around 4.000 petrol-powered cars driving 15.000 km per year, or to the annual absorption capacity of approximately 400.000trees, or again to about 5.000 return flights on the Rome-New York route.
Following the sale of a cluster of plants to VerdaliaBioenergy in July 2024,this new transaction confirms HBA’s role as a leading strategic developer in the biomethane sector atthe national level.
The company’s current development pipeline includes 18 projects, representing over 300 million in investments, all focused on agricultural biomethane production and distributed across the entire Italian territory.
The transaction involved Pika Energy as advisor, recently engaged by HBA through a strategic partnership, and the law firm Bird & Bird, which handled the legal aspects of the deal, including the preparation and negotiation of the entire contractual and warranty documentation. Tages Helios Net Zero was advised by the Milan-based law firm PedersoliGattai.
“Italy has every potential to take on a leading role in Europe’s decarbonisation journey, thanks in part to the contribution made by biomethane,” said Carlo Petagna, CEO of HBA. “We strongly believe in this sector and, now more than ever, we are convinced of its central importance. Europe is facing a significant energy crisis, which highlights just how strategic it is to invest in renewable energy production. Increasing production means ensuring more sustainable energy costs for businesses and strengthening their competitiveness in the market.”
Founded in 2020, HBA has evolved from a predominantly technical entity into an integrated operator, capable of overseeing the entire cycle of development, construction and management of plants. This model reduces the risk profile, strengthens guarantees for investors and facilitates access to credit thanks to a solid, integrated structure. Our work combines innovation and expertise to produce green energy, contributing to environmental protection and the enhancement oflocal areas.
