Rebecca is comfortable seeing patients of all ages amongst a vast majority of complaints, including higher acuity patients such as chest pain and respiratory distress. She is also skilled in numerous common emergency medicine procedures, including lacerations (including facial, complex and involving multiple layers), eye exam using wood’s lamp, I&D, foreign body removal, pelvic exams, finger reductions, digital blocks, nerve blocks, ingrown toenail removal, and more.
Pursuing academic excellence, Rebecca graduated with her undergraduate degree in Human Biology and Society BA & Global Health Minor, Medicine and Public Health from UCLA in 2016. She then went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2018.
Certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, she holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and DEA.
In addition, she is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates, which is the national professional society for physician associates (PAs).
A Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) is a health care practitioner who practices medicine in collaboration with physicians. PAs are medical professionals, educated in the medical model to complement physician training, and assist the physician in many aspects of the practice. PAs are trained to take medical histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnose illness, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and assist in surgery.
