Dedicated to clinical excellence, Dr. Pusz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry (ABO), which was founded in 2009 as a nonprofit organization that board certifies optometrists in the United States and Canada. Established to serve the public and the optometry profession by assessing and certifying the competency of optometrists.
Recognizing the significance of continuous professional growth, the doctor actively participates in the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and WPOS (Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society), and is a founding member of a women’s optometry focus group.

Optometry is a healthcare profession that involves examining the eyes and applicable visual systems for defects or abnormalities, as well as diagnosing and managing eye disease. Optometrists are healthcare professionals who provide primary eye care through comprehensive eye examinations to detect and treat various visual abnormalities and eye diseases. Being a regulated profession, an optometrist’s scope of practice may differ depending on the location. Thus, disorders or diseases detected outside the treatment scope of optometry (i.e. those requiring certain surgical interventions) are referred out to relevant medical professionals for proper care, more commonly to ophthalmologists who are physicians that specialize in the tertiary medical and surgical care of the eye. Optometrists typically work closely together with other eye care professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to deliver quality and efficient eye care to the general public.

Among her most notable achievements, Dr. Pusz’s dedication and commitment to excellence were acknowledged through the Clinical Excellence in Low Vision and Pediatrics award from the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA.
Beyond her medical career, she finds joy in various activities. She enjoys reading, spending quality time with her husband and children, and participating in yoga, surfing, golf, and learning to play tennis.
