Educated in the United States, Dr. Correa received his Associate’s degree in Natural Science from Lee College in Baytown, Texas. He then pursued his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and finished his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio.
While at the University of Houston, Dr.
Correa participated in human genetics studies and health, receiving a vast understanding of conditions such as Turner’s Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and more. While at Incarnate Word, he rotated under the supervision of Dr. Rick Sharp for Sharp Eye Consultants, and Dr. John Kozlovsky for KDW. There, he learned the importance of eye care. That is, vision is not determined by the need for glasses. Rather, vision complications may be due to life-threatening problems, health problems, or vision-threatening problems.
Engaged in professional associations, Dr. Correa is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Optometry is a healthcare profession that involves examining the eyes and applicable visual systems for defects or abnormalities, as well as diagnosing and managing eye disease. Optometrists are healthcare professionals who provide primary eye care through comprehensive eye examinations to detect and treat various visual abnormalities and eye diseases.
