Prior to joining Malvern Health, Dr. Garbely held several prominent leadership roles at Caron Treatment Centers in Pennsylvania, including Chief Medical Officer, Executive Vice President of Medical Services, and Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program. He also served as Chief Medical Officer for Haven Behavioral Health and its Outpatient Center in West Chester, where he played a key role in advancing clinical quality and expanding access to care.
In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Garbely is deeply committed to academic medicine and physician education. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Penn State College of Medicine and an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. His dedication to teaching has earned him numerous accolades, including the American Psychiatric Association’s Helen Ruske, M.D. Award for Excellence in Medical Student Teaching and the Tower Health Outstanding Psychiatry Residency Recognition Award.
