This is gradually changing the way institutions and businesses think about their role and young people are increasingly viewed as participants in the conversations that will shape the direction of the development over the next decade. With all this in mind, Green Transition Forum 6.0 is incorporating a Youth Forum ‘Empowering Global Changemakers’ into it’s core program, dedicated to the next generation.
Strategic Partnerships with the Human Resource Development Centre
The Youth Forum is being implemented in strategic partnership with the Human Resource Development Centre, the National Agency for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes in Bulgaria.
The Centre plays a key role in promoting educational mobility, international exchange, and the development of youth policies. The signed agreement enables a broader circle of young people from Bulgaria and other European countries to be reached. Through the Erasmus+ programme, opportunities for participation will be provided for students from both Bulgaria and abroad upon registration here.
Why Are Young People Part of This Conversation?
The Youth Forum brings together young entrepreneurs, programmers, innovators, students, pupils, young scientists, and athletes, who will take part in discussions on specific policies and economic decisions.
The younger generation entering the labour market and public life today does so in the context of accelerated technological change and new economic models. Their experiences and expectations are part of the environment in which decisions are made, because they will be the ones to live longer that the older generation, with potential consequences of decisions that have been made.
As part of the Youth Forum, meetings are planned with representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Committee of the Regions, as well as with entrepreneurs, investors, and universities from Bulgaria and other European countries. The format includes workshops, simulations of political processes, and presentations of entrepreneurial ideas.
Expectations vs Reality: What Young People Want and What Employers Are Looking For
One of the key panels will be devoted to the relationship between young people and the labour market. The discussion will involve company representatives, HR experts, and young professionals.
The focus will be on specific questions such as:
- Which competencies are in demand in 2026?
- How can students build competencies more effectively during their studies?
- How are organisations adapting their environments to the new generation of employees?
Financial Literacy, a Strong CV, and the Importance of LinkedIn
The Youth Forum will include sessions dedicated to financial literacy, featuring investors and entrepreneurs. The sessions will cover personal finance management, first investments, and planning in a changing environment.
Practical sessions are also planned on CV preparation and building an informative LinkedIn profile, a platform which has become an important, first point of contact with employers, partners, and investors.
Alongside career topics, there will be a dedicated session on mental health, touching on discussions of stress, the pressure to achieve, and the impact of the digital environment on the younger generations.
