More on Isstories:

Eileen holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Corning Community College. She maintains active RN licenses in both California and New York and holds additional certifications in hospice and palliative care, wound care, and related specialties.

Throughout her career, Eileen has worked in diverse environments, including veteran care through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, private-duty home nursing, community health clinics, and elementary schools. Across every role, she has consistently emphasized dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Her clinical expertise includes patient assessment, medication administration, symptom and pain management, wound care, comprehensive family education, and specialized care for children with special needs–all delivered with empathy, professionalism, and attention to individual needs.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Eileen volunteered with the Albany County Department of Public Health in New York–demonstrating a strong work ethic, resilience, and a readiness to take on demanding responsibilities, even when it meant double duty.

In addition to hands-on clinical work, Eileen has demonstrated strong leadership and operational expertise. As a Clinic Coordinator at Northern Valley Indian Health, she supervised nursing and medical assistant staff, managed daily clinic operations, coordinated scheduling and patient care, and supported regulatory compliance, while continuing to provide direct patient care. From 2017 to 2021, she served as a School Nurse for grades K-5, including self-contained classrooms serving special populations, further highlighting her adaptability and dedication to caring for diverse patient and student communities.

More recently, Eileen has returned to private-duty nursing, where she provides individualized in-home care for elderly and hospice patients. In this role, she works closely with physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure seamless coordination of care, emotional support, and continuity throughout each patient’s healthcare journey.

“What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is being there for my patients,” says Eileen. “Supporting them through their health journeys, providing guidance, and offering reassurance during challenging times is incredibly meaningful and fulfilling.”

With more than two decades of experience and a steadfast commitment to holistic, patient-centered care, Eileen Wayne continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families, and students facing illness, aging, and end-of-life challenges.
