Further enhancing his skill set, he trained in skull base surgery under Professor Takanori Fukushima in Japan, completed a neurosurgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and pursued a skull base and cerebrovascular fellowship with Professor Laligam Sekhar at the University of Washington, mastering advanced techniques in aneurysm repair, AVMs, cavernous malformations, complex bypass procedures, and tumor surgery.
