(Isstories Editorial):- New York City, New York Jan 22, 2026 (Issuewire.com) – The 2026 AMWA Award for Advocacy in Advancing Women Physicians and the Health of Women, will be presented to Dr. Christine V Mangurian, Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, the Vice Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs, and the Lynne and Marc Benioff Endowed Chair in Psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco from the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) during the 111th AMWA Annual Meeting in San Francisco, March 28-30, 2026.
The AMWA Award for Advocacy in Advancing Women Physicians and the Health of Women honors individuals or organizations whose advocacy has advanced women in medicine and improved the health of women. This award recognizes work that drives systemic change, promotes gender equity, and aligns with AMWA’s mission to support women physicians and address women’s unique health needs through policy, practice, education, or leadership.

Physician Awards will be presented in person during the AMWA Awards Gala, on Saturday, March 28 from 6 to 9 pm PT.
