DECO BOKO is a platform that bridges Japanese brands–grounded in outstanding craftsmanship and a singular aesthetic vision–with the United States, the world’s largest economy. It is North America’s only exhibition dedicated exclusively to Japanese products, held in New York–a global hub for culture, fashion, and lifestyle.

Since its launch in 2020, we have earned recognition from buyers through a finely tuned curation focused on both ease of selling and ease of buying, and in 2021, we began exhibiting at NY NOW. It is one of the largest design and gift trade shows in the United States, held annually in February and August. It offers a prime opportunity to showcase products to carefully vetted, highly motivated buyers, attracting brands from around the world–from established names to emerging newcomers.

A key highlight of this DECO BOKO edition is WAKAYAMA MADE, featuring products from Wakayama Prefecture, a region renowned for craftsmanship rooted in tradition and innovation. It brings together nature-inspired brands, including WOOD me, which creates items imbued with the warmth and aroma of Kishu cypress; KITOTE, crafting shoji screens through skilled handwork; TAKADA TAWASHI, a specialist in tawashi scrubbers and brooms made from domestic palm fiber; and Shiawase no Hoshi no Kaori, a skincare brand formulated with plant-based ingredients. Rebirth, an environmentally conscious brand that transforms PET bottles into heat-resistant mugs, also deserves attention.

The showcase also features a wide range of products that enrich everyday life, including HARENO, a dye workshop specializing in flags and festival goods; dadada & n, men’s innerwear handcrafted by skilled sewing artisans; CHOUETTE D’OR, a leather brand devoted to fine handmade craftsmanship; HAYASHI SCISSORS, professional hair-cutting scissors trusted by stylists worldwide; and ZENCOCORO, an incense brand created for better sleep.

At the group exhibition Japan Craft Reimagined, you can discover 12 brands, including YASIMA, known for Inden-inspired wallets crafted with Nishijin textiles, and KAKINUMA TOKO, which creates vividly colored maneki-neko (beckoning cat) using Nishijin and chirimen fabrics– celebrating traditional Japanese textiles.

The exhibition also presents innovative creations such as GETALS, offering modern reinterpretations of traditional geta footwear, and PROGRESS, introducing glassware that combines space technology and artisan craftsmanship to produce aurora-like hues.

In addition, don’t miss MON YO, an internationally recognized brand renowned for traditional-patterned apparel, and ICHIKUDO, which continues to grow its following with original products–such as calendars and cards–focused on paper quality and finishing. Also returning is 1-81 Agency, a regular at NY NOW, presenting selected brands such as HOiSUM, celebrated for its heartwarming socks.

DECO BOKO stands as a premier destination for buyers seeking the essence of Japanese artistry.
