About the Author

Scottie E. McDaniell has always loved to write. She was educated in military and private schools and at the University of Nebraska and Florida State University. Her business career has included retail management, and administrative work in the fields of Consulting, Engineering, Banking, and Medicine. She established two corporate libraries and authored a copyrighted technical manual on that process. She was a confidential informant for the US Air Force.

Her articles have appeared in The Orlando Sentinel, League Life, and Events 101, and her poetry has been published by the National League of American Pen Women and featured by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. She was once named “Woman of the Year” by the local American Business Women’s Association. Scottie continues to inspire through her words and love of storytelling.

When not writing, she enjoys Southern cooking, reading recipes, and reminiscing about her first signature meal — tuna fish salad, baked beans, and deviled eggs — lovingly taught by her father. She currently resides in Florida.
