“An objective observation of these concerns with those so aligned with governing authorities is clearly at odds with the ‘compassionate and benevolent’ view of the Christ of the Bible. However, regardless of the issue, a rift is not new. There is history well beyond my time of this kind of variance between historical First-Century Christianity and how masses reject the historical faith for their own version of the faith. Whether it is the conditions that established “Protestantism” over five hundred years ago or the matter of slavery two hundred years ago. In fact, we could return to the First Century where Christian sects such as Judaizers and Gnosticism caused division.”
