“The Angel Tree program transforms our community into one big family during the holidays,” said Lilly Gallardo, Director of Program Services of The Salvation Army of Broward County. “These angels are not just names on paper; they are real children living right here in our community. They are your neighbors. Each adoption is more than a gift; it’s hope, dignity, and a reminder to families that they are not forgotten.”
“Every angel adopted is a Christmas promise kept to a child and a heavy burden lifted from a parent,” said Major Juan Guadalupe, Area Commander. “Our donors and volunteers do more than give presents. They give families memories that last a lifetime.”
Last Year’s Impact In 2024, the community’s generosity made a tremendous impact. The Angel Tree program served 3,453 local children and distributed almost 7,000 toys.
