About the Author
David Cole was born in Putnam, Connecticut, on February 8th. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Baker College in Michigan, he built a career at Microsoft, where he spent ten years developing groundbreaking diagnostic tools. His work created faster and more accurate ways of solving critical operating system issues, earning recognition within the industry.
But Cole’s professional success only deepened his drive to create. He developed the game Hunt The Muglump and the app Gematria Wizard, and later moved into multimedia projects that brought together storytelling, film, and esoteric philosophy. His short film Dear Lilith, I Love You (Sweet Dreams) has won awards in major film festivals, while his video project No One is Your Enemy continues to reach online audiences. Through Venomous Press and Old Skool Games and Software, Cole combines his technical knowledge with his creative vision.
Cole draws constant inspiration from the cultural landscape of the 1970s through the 1990s, including forgotten horror and science fiction films, Saturday morning cartoons, and the larger-than-life energy of hair metal. He lives in Florida with his wife Sarah and their son Elijah, where his focus remains on building stories that balance spectacle with substance.
