Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Jonathan began his nursing journey at CEGEP – John Abbott College, earning a Diploma of College Studies in Nursing in 2010. He continued his education with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis Xavier University, graduating in 2014 and earning a place on the Dean’s Honors List. Furthering his expertise, he completed a Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner – Adult at the University of Toronto in 2016, equipping him with advanced skills to provide patient-centered care at the highest level.
Jonathan gained extensive clinical experience working for six years in the Coronary Care Unit at McGill University Health Center in Montreal. In 2017, he moved to Florida to join Moffitt Cancer Center as a Nurse Practitioner in the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Department and Hematology-Oncology. In 2020, he relocated to Santa Monica with his husband of 14 years to continue his work at UCLA Health, where he has been an integral part of the hematologic care team.
Certified through the California Board of Nursing and the Florida State Board of Nursing, Jonathan is also an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He attributes his success to his enduring passion for helping others, a driving force that guides his work daily and shapes his professional mission.
Outside of his professional career, Jonathan enjoys traveling across California and the United States, visiting family and friends in Montreal, and exploring destinations around the world. A lifelong fan of Disney and Harry Potter, he also participates in the West Coast Singers, an LGBTQ+ choir in Los Angeles. He is an avid gamer, movie enthusiast, and musical theater fan, blending his love for creativity with his dedication to patient care. Jonathan’s ultimate hope is to see cancer become easier to treat and cure, reflecting his deep commitment to the future of healthcare.
