The Grand Maestro International Music Competition (GMIMC) proudly announces its 5th Edition, inviting musicians of all ages and levels from around the world to participate. Since its founding, the competition has welcomed more than 710 participants from 34 countries, building a reputation for excellence, transparency, and opportunity.

Over the past five years, competitors have represented countries including Albania, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Commemoration of Dmitri Shostakovich

This milestone edition is dedicated to the legacy of Dmitri Shostakovich, one of the most significant composers of the 20th century. To honor his influence, the competition will present the distinguished Grand Dmitri Shostakovich Prize to the most outstanding laureate.

Open to All Categories

The competition accepts submissions from all instruments, piano, voice, composition, and conducting. We warmly welcome music students, teachers, professors, parents, and professional musicians to apply and take part in this international celebration of music.

  • Andrea Cardinale (Italy) – Internationally acclaimed violinist with 1,500+ performances worldwide and recordings with Ricordi-Feltrinelli. Has performed on historic instruments including Stradivari and Guarneri violins.

  • Prof. Aline Kutan (Canada) – Canadian-Armenian soprano, winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, celebrated for performances worldwide. Professor of Voice at McGill University.

  • Prof. Stephen Wong (Hong Kong) – Pianist and pedagogue, trained at the Royal College of Music (London) and McGill University (Montreal). Teaches piano, chamber music, and vocal coaching at HKAPA, CUHK, and Hong Kong Baptist University.

  • Maestro Massimiliano Valenti (Italy) – Celebrated pianist, laureate of numerous international competitions, and a sought-after masterclass instructor. Performs extensively across Europe, the USA, and Asia.
