The carnival included workshops on patent filing, webinars on trademark law, and panel discussions with experts in the field of intellectual property (IP). One of the highlights of the event was the mentoring sessions by Dr. Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan, CEO of MIT Square, London, a renowned Scientist with 100+ patents at a young age. He emphasized the growing importance of intellectual property in today’s knowledge-driven economy and encouraged students to think innovatively while being mindful of their rights as creators.
Out of several group projects, 3 resulted in patents being filed in India. The student inventors are Aastha Bhattacharjee, Swastik Thakur, Anushka, Sabina, R. Sreesaran, Harinandan K, Likith T K, and Levin G Manoj.
Students and faculty members alike expressed their enthusiasm about the carnival’s success.
