“This story was burning inside me from the moment I got the phone call about Brian,” says Kiey. “Writing this book became a mission–something I felt deeply called to do for the sake of clarity, understanding, and healing.”

Karen Sue Kiey is a proud mother of three and grandmother to several grandchildren. Though she never envisioned herself as a writer, her personal experiences and the challenges her family faced compelled her to share this story.
