Jessica began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in 2007. She joined MedStar Health shortly thereafter, where she spent eight years as a medical-surgical telemetry nurse, providing care to complex patient populations. In 2016, she transitioned to the progressive care unit, and in 2021, she advanced to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). During her time in the ICU, Jessica was instrumental in enhancing clinical education through the implementation of an ultrasound-guided peripheral IV (USGPIV) placement program and mentoring new graduate nurses. Her leadership capabilities were recognized through her roles as Chair of the Nursing Hospital Practice Council and Chair of the 5 Bles Nursing Practice Council.
Driven by her passion for education and clinical advancement, Jessica obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education from George Mason University in 2016. In 2018, she joined Chesapeake Mobile Healthcare, where she began providing essential vascular access services, including midlines, PICC lines, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs, in a mobile care model across the DMV region.
In her current role at Chesapeake Mobile Healthcare, Jessica combines her extensive clinical expertise with strategic leadership to enhance healthcare delivery, focusing on vascular access and hospital-at-home models. Her initiatives aim to reduce healthcare costs while improving patient access and outcomes, ultimately leading to a more efficient healthcare system. Jessica also serves as Assistant Director of Nursing at StatPoint Medical, where she continues to advocate for mobile acute care delivery.
A respected leader in the nursing community, Jessica is an active member of the Association for Vascular Access (AVA) and currently serves as Chair Elect for the AVA Design Team. Her commitment to elevating nursing standards is evident in her published work, “Expert to Novice: An Educational Journey to Vascular Access,” featured in Intravascular Quarterly in 2019.
Jessica attributes her success to her intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a patient-first philosophy that emphasizes communication, safety, and trust. Her dedication to clinical education, mobile healthcare delivery, and innovative healthcare systems positions her as a transformative force in modern nursing.
As she takes on her responsibilities at MedHealth, Chesapeake Mobile Healthcare, and StatPoint Medical, Jessica Langille is poised to make a significant impact on the future of nursing and patient care in the Washington Baltimore area.
