In addition to her role at Curonix, Dr. Trescot serves as Chief Medical Officer for Physician Partners of America, a 40-practice pain group, and Beaches Recovery. She is also a faculty member of the Latin American Pain Society and the Education Coordinator at Pain School International. Recognizing the global need for pain education, Dr. Trescot founded Project Pain Relief in 2012, dedicated to providing essential training and resources to physicians in developing countries.
Dr. Trescot’s academic journey began at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (honors) in Zoology before pursuing her Medical Degree at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine. Her military career commenced post-medical school, where she completed her residency in anesthesia at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and further specialized in pediatric anesthesia at the National Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. Following her fellowship, she was stationed at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
A respected leader in her field, Dr. Trescot previously served as the president of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Her illustrious career includes Directorship of Pain Fellowships at both the University of Washington School of Medicine and the University of Florida in Gainesville. For a decade, she practiced as an interventional pain physician in Orange Park, Florida, where she honed her skills in patient care and innovative treatment techniques.
Dr. Trescot’s contributions to the field are extensive; she has authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and serves as the editor and senior author of the comprehensive pain textbook, Peripheral Nerve Entrapments – Clinical Diagnosis and Management. She is also a co-author of PainWise – A Patient’s Guide to Pain Management and co-editor of the three-volume series, Pain Medicine & Interventional Pain Management – A Comprehensive Review. Dr. Trescot regularly speaks at national and international conferences, sharing her insights and advancing the dialogue in pain medicine and interventional pain management.
