With a robust academic background, Janelle graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2000 before earning her Master of Science in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse/Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009. Her educational foundation has equipped her with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a significant difference in the lives of her young patients.
Janelle’s decision to enter the psychiatric nursing field was inspired by a personal experience with a friend in crisis, motivating her to pursue a career focused on treating children and adolescents. “I wanted to help break the cycle of seeing the same kids coming in and out of the hospital,” Janelle explains.
