  1. Savoury Spiced Hot Chocolate

The second name in the list is a winter hit, hot chocolate, but we have a twist here. Instead of your regular, good old hot chocolate, what we have here for you is a spiced version of it and we are pretty sure once you have it, there is no going back, at least in the winners. Here is how you can make it –

Ingredients –

  • 2 medjool dates, pitted
  • 4 raw walnut halves
  • 2 tablespoons quick-cooking oats
  • 2 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa
  • few drops good good-quality vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch each sea salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, chili
  • 2 1/2 cups filtered water

Preparation –

Take a blender and place all the ingredients in the blender to blend on high speed until the mixture is piping hot and thickened. This would take you about 5 minutes. Take your favorite mug and pour the mixture and you are ready to sip the hot chocolate away! Do you know what would make this taste even better? Pair it with your favorite book!

  1. Everyday Chai

We might be stretching the idea of a mocktail by including chai but this list of beverages would be complete for the winter if there was no cup of chai! This is the recipe that you make at home every day, several times, and you still crave it when there is a breeze outside. The best thing about chai is that there are a lot of variations in the drink, you can customize any way you like it. But here is the traditional way to make it.

Ingredients –

  • 2 cups water
  • 5 cups milk (full fat,2% or 1%)
  • 5 teaspoons sugar (optional)
  • 2 black tea bags or 1.5 tsp black tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon peeled, grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon chai masala or 2 cardamoms and 1 inch stick of cinnamon

Preparation –

Take a thick-bottomed pot and boil water over medium heat. Once the water comes to a boil, add sugar, ginger, chai masala, or cardamom and cinnamon to the pan. Once the mixture comes to a boil again, add the black tea leaves and wait. The next step is to add your milk to the pan and you can do this when the tea-infused water comes to another boil. Now, let the tea come to a rolling boil. The more you boil the tea, the more flavor you get in the drink, however, make sure it is not overdone. If you don’t like the strong flavor of ginger or tea, stick to a single boil. Take a strainer strain the liquid into your favorite mug and enjoy while it is hot!

  1. Four-Ingredient Hot Toddy

This non-alcoholic drink is great to taste. It also helps you cool down a bit when you are sick. The best part? You only need four ingredients to make this Hot Toddy. So, let’s get into the recipe!

Ingredients –

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (or to taste)

Preparation –

Take a kettle to boil your water. Now, cut a lemon in half and juice one of the halves. You can save the other half for another cup some other time. Add the honey, cinnamon, and lemon juice to the cup of boiling water and voila, your drink is ready!

  1. Sweet and Spicy Hot Orange Drink

The recipe for this drink would be essential for you because this drink would be an absolute blast at a party! This hot orange drink would be perfect for the days when you need that extra shot of vitamin C but it must taste good too. Here is everything you need –

  • ½ lime, juice only
  • zest from half an orange
