(Isstories Editorial):- Asheville, North Carolina Nov 4, 2024 (Issuewire.com) – After the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Adoratherapy, a leader in mood-boosting aromatherapy, is turning a symbol of resilience into a beacon of renewal with the acquisition of an old church in Asheville. This new space will serve as the brand’s production center, co-working space, and community hub for wellness workshops–providing a sanctuary for the Asheville community in more ways than one.
The historic church, nestled in Asheville’s scenic hills, has been a quiet landmark, waiting to find new life. Adoratherapy founder Laura McCann recognized its potential immediately, seeing it as an opportunity to renew both the structure and the company’s mission of wellness. “In the aftermath of the hurricane, this renovation became a way to recommit to Asheville,” said McCann. “It’s about resilience, rebirth, and creating a place of healing for the community.”

The transformation includes a meticulous renovation that respects the building’s history. The original stained-glass windows, depicting scenes like Noah’s Ark, will remain intact–a meaningful symbol of survival. Inside, the sanctuary will return to its vaulted glory, with repurposed space for wellness events, aura readings, workshops, and production. The church pews and furnishings will be donated to local organizations, ensuring that the space’s legacy of community service endures.
The project is driven by McCann’s vision and supported by her partner Jim Levinson, a skilled carpenter and Reiki master, who brings both practical and spiritual insight to the renovation. “Jim’s understanding of energy is essential to this transformation, from the structural foundations to the space’s spiritual ambiance,” said McCann.
Adoratherapy’s journey has mirrored Asheville’s own dedication to handmade quality and community growth, evolving from a small business into a vertically integrated brand that combines retail, online, and in-house production. As a woman-owned brand, Adoratherapy supports local talent and offers fair wages, creating an environment where women can thrive.
Through this endeavor, McCann hopes to create a safe and nurturing space for personal transformation–embodying the values of her upcoming book, Auratherapy, which explores the power of aura healing and self-awareness.
With this new chapter, Adoratherapy will help Asheville continue to grow and heal after the storm, uniting ancient wisdom with modern wellness.
