She married a Californian and had a son named Spencer. With a background in professional sales, sales training, and managing sales forces on the West Coast, she returned to her roots in Maine in 1995
In 1998, Helen pursued her lifelong dream of working in the real estate industry and joined Patty T Young’s ERA Home Sellers team in South Portland, becoming one of Maine’s pioneering buyer agents. Her exceptional performance garnered numerous accolades and awards at both the local and statewide levels.
In 2008, Helen joined Keller Williams Realty, playing a crucial role in establishing the Buyer Division of Universal Properties, now known as the Mateja Group. Over the years, she and the team consistently shattered production records and emerged as top producers in the industry.
In June 2018, Helen and her son, Spencer, joined forces to create their own real estate team, La Count Real Estate, operating under the Keller Williams Realty umbrella. With a combined experience of over three decades in the real estate field, they offer buyers and sellers an unparalleled level of service characterized by honesty, integrity, and extensive industry knowledge.
Notably, they have authored several real estate books unveiling their strategies, secrets, tips, and more to assist in selling and buying homes.
