With a rich background spanning over two decades in clinical practice within hospital and academic settings, Dr. Yimer has held positions as an attending physician of internal medicine at Temple University Hospital (December 2020 – June 2021) and with St. Luke’s University Health Network (August 2019 – October 2020).
Having earned his Medical Degree from Addis Ababa University School of Medicine in Ethiopia in 2005, Dr. Yimer continued his medical journey in the United States. He completed his residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital from 2016-2019, followed by a fellowship at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine from 2021-2023.
Board-certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Yimer holds recognition as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
