Holding various esteemed positions and titles within the medical and educational realms, Dr. Ptasinski served as a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, he represented interns on the Pediatric Residency Education Committee in the year spanning 2020 to 2021. Additionally, his involvement as a Student Simulation Scholar Program (SSSP) Scholar at RVUCOM lasted from 2017 to 2018, and he played a pivotal role as the Vice President and Co-founder of the Business and Leadership Medical Practice (BLIMP) during the same period.
Graduating from Regis Jesuit High School, Dr. Ptasinski went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Lafayette College in 2015. He then attended medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with the class of 2020.
Furthering his training, Dr. Ptasinski performed his residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron/NEOMED from 2020 to 2013. Subsequently, he joined a fellowship program at Jackson Memorial Hospital, which he is expected to complete in 2026.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, while cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some parts of the circulatory system. Pediatric cardiologists specialize in diagnosing and treating heart problems in children. Additionally, he volunteered at the Colorado Springs Youth Day with the Denver Nuggets in 2018, was part of the WhizKids Tutoring – Youth Mentor Collaborative from 2017 to 2018, and served as a Spartan Race Medic in 2017.
