Grace’s connection with Martha’s Vineyard goes back to the summer of 1988 when she arrived as the Head Tennis Professional at the Edgartown Yacht Club. It was here that she instantly fell in love with the island’s unique charm and style. 

Ten years later, Grace embarked on her real estate journey in 1998 under the mentorship of Twanette Tharp at The Tharp Group. Through determination and the support of her son, Patrick, who now works as a licensed salesperson at Grace Hagerty Real Estate Inc. she achieved Broker status in 2021. This marked a momentous milestone in her career, establishing her very own real estate enterprise on Martha’s Vineyard.

In the initial six months after opening her office, Grace facilitated transactions exceeding $28,000,000, representing both sellers and buyers. One notable achievement was her pivotal role in connecting a buyer with the largest single residential property in Chilmark, an awe-inspiring 60 acres with an astonishing 1000 feet of direct private Atlantic Ocean beachfront. 

Working together as a dynamic mother-son duo, Grace and Patrick consider themselves as stewards of an incredibly special island. They take immense pride in their diligent work,  striving to provide clients and customers with an unforgettable experience. Their ultimate goal is to deliver discreet, unparalleled concierge service at the highest level. 

Before venturing into real estate, Grace excelled in a different arena. She ascended to the pinnacle of women’s at Duke University, becoming the top-ranked player and winning state championships during her freshman year. Her competitive spirit and unwavering dedication have endured, as evidenced by her continued high-level participation in tennis. In 2020, she held the distinction of being ranked as the nation’s number-one player in Women’s 30s Individual Doubles. 

Having made a swift and remarkable impact on the real estate industry, Grace attributes much of her success to the skills and disciplined training she acquired through her tennis career. She is a proven leader who melds her athletic drive, vast experience, and personal touch to create exceptional real estate experiences.
