Among his various licenses and certifications, he is Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, a Clinical Nurse Leader through the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) through the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.

Furthering his profession, David is an active member of the Northern Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and a Board Member of the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Illinois (President-elect – January 2006).
