Lakeshore Surgical Consultants, PLC is a group of physicians that will provide surgical services of the highest quality to the residents of Southern Wayne County and Monroe County.  They offer patients a wide range of surgical procedures utilizing the most current techniques and the most current technology.

A man of many titles, Dr. Lamb has been serving as Trauma Medical Director and Surgical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital since August of 2022.  Previously, he created and developed the Level 2 Trauma Center at Beaumont Trenton (formerly Oakwood Southshore Medical Center) where he served as the Trauma Medical Director from 2006 to November, 2021.  He was Chairman of the Committee on Trauma at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center from 2003 to 2021.  He served as a member of the Resident Evaluation and Standards Committee with the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons since 2008. He can also be found on staff at Corewell East Taylor Hospital.  He is the Co-Char (Trauma) for the Region 2 South Trauma Network for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.  He has served in this position since June, 2017.

Receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College in 1989, Dr. Lamb went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995.

Continuing in his training, he performed his internship and residency in general surgery at Mount Clemens General Hospital, part of the Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine Statewide Campus System in 1996 and 2000, respectively.

Holding fellowship status, Dr. Lamb is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, he is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Midwest Surgical Association, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, the Academy of Surgery of Detroit, the American College of Surgeons – Michigan Committee on Trauma, and the Region 2 South Trauma Advisory Committee of the Regional Trauma Network, State of Michigan.

Having shown a remarkable commitment to excellence, Dr. Lamb is a Diplomate with National Board of Examiners in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, and is board-certified with State of Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on alimentary canal and abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland.
