His professional journey began as a Third Mate, navigating tanker and freighter vessels across the Pacific Rim and the Persian Gulf. Afterward, he transitioned into the role of a Tugboat Operator, gaining valuable experience in Alaska and the Bay Area. However, in 1996, he made the decision to change career paths, leaving behind his maritime adventures.
Joining the largest global shipping company, Eric assumed the position of a Stevedoring Manager at their Oakland Container Facility. His expertise and leadership skills quickly earned him the role of Regional Account Manager, where he oversaw import and export logistics sales for 11 western states. His client base ranged from small family-run businesses to Fortune 500 companies, providing him with a diverse understanding of the industry.
Despite his success in the shipping industry, his extensive international travel and prolonged absences from home led him to pursue a career change. It was during this time that he discovered his true passion in Estey Real Estate. Recognizing the importance of continuous learning and striving for excellence, he dedicated himself to further education and obtained additional real estate designations.
As a proud member of the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Eric possesses comprehensive knowledge of the entire real estate transaction process. Completing this rigorous course of study is a testament to his commitment and places him among the top 10% of REALTORS® nationwide. Furthermore, he earned the Senior Real Estate Service (SRES) designation, highlighting his expertise in assisting senior and Baby Boomer clients within any community.
