With over 35 years of experience in real estate sales, construction, development, and property management, as well as 16 years of interior decorating and staging, Karen is often referred to as a ‘bulldog in real estate’. She fights to get the best deal for her clients and ensures that their goals are met. 

Guiding clients through the complexities of buying and/or selling a house, and eliminating hassles and stress, Karen knows the neighborhoods, schools, market conditions, zoning regulations, and local economy. Beginning her career in real estate in 1977, Karen obtained her real estate license in Florida in 1988 and in Georgia in 1990. She lived in Atlanta for 13 years until July 2004 where she worked as a VP of Property Management for a large Southeastern Property Management & Development Company and as a Corporate Real Estate Manager for a large British Conglomerate. She then moved back to South Florida and worked as the VP of Sales & Development for a Development company and as a Consultant for Condominiums in Broward and Dade County until February 2005 when she moved to Eustis.

In 2007, Karen began working as a full-time realtor, and in 2017, she became a broker and opened her own firm. 

Over the years, she has built a strong and loyal clientele. She estimates half of her business stems from referrals, while the other half comes from repeat clients. 

Whether a client is buying, selling, investing, renting, or in need of property management, Karen understands the market, the latest marketing and technology trends, and how to apply them to a real estate transaction. She has helped many families purchase and sell in Lake and Orange County, and can sell throughout the State of Florida.

Always looking to expand her knowledge, Karen takes classes and courses to stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry. She prides herself in the numerous designations she has attained over the years such as Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE  – Short Sales), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS – International), Transnational Referral Certification (TRC), and Military Relocation Professional (MRP).

Attributing her success to her commitment to her clients, Karen enjoys being able to help someone own their own home and representing her profession to the highest degree of professionalism.

Living large in Lake County, she was featured on an episode of HGTV’s “LakeFront Bargain Hunt” in 2014, choosing the perfect lakefront home for under $275,000. She is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Sales Club from 2012-2022, was the winner of the 2016 Daily Commercial Readers’ Choice Award for Realtor in Lake and Sumter County, and has been recognized as one of the Top 5 Agents Ranked # 3 in Lake County by Ratemyagent.com. 

As busy as she is showing homes and tending to her clients, Karen enjoys spending her downtime with her dogs, shopping for antiques, gardening, as well as interior decorating and remodeling.
