(Isstories Editorial):- Berlin, Germany Apr 23, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – At one time, Berlin was the fashion capital of Germany.  First-class Jewish fashion designers dominated the industry until the 1920’s.  With the Nazi rise to power in 1933, thousands of fashion designers were forced to emigrate or into slave labor or were murdered.

Of the more than 2,800 Berlin fashion companies in 1930, none was left in 1939. The destruction of Berlin’s fashion culture and the people who worked in it was part of the Holocaust and still makes itself felt today.

Carl Kruse Arts presents author Uwe Westphal as he introduces his book:  “Fashion Metropolis Berlin – The Story of the Rise and Destruction of the Jewish Fashion Industry.”

Westphal will give a brief presentation of his book followed by a Q&A session and complimentary wine, soft drinks and appetizers.  It all takes place at INIZIO, Fasanenstr 77, Berlin, on May 10, 2023 at 6:30pm.
